Lebanon Electricity

Electricity in Lebanon is a rare sight; even more so than the Loch Ness Monster.  It has a mind of its own and when it shows up, it decides its own power output.  It is so unpredictable that it would baffle the best fortune tellers in the world.

The official voltage level in Lebanon is 220v but I have yet to see it ever come close to that.  It is usually much below and people wish it was not given at all because it can be so useless at times, but you do get the occasional spikes!  These occur when suddenly and randomly the level shoots sky high and destroys major appliances – happy days!

What’s even more insulting is the fact that we are billed for this non-existent bipolar electricity.   Everyone uses alternative power sources such as generators, solar panels, car batteries, etc…   Major players who rolled out communal subscription based power from large generators have become mega rich from a very lucrative enterprise.

In dedication to Lebanon Electricity and the many years of empty promises of power 24/7 I dedicate this video.

The setting is set inside the offices of Lebanon Electricity where even there, is a power cut!
