I have often wondered why people make serious mistakes by ignoring their gut instincts, especially in relationships. Many reveal that they noticed warning signs but chose to dismiss them, sometimes for reasons they cannot explain. It’s as if some part of them knew the truth, but they were unwilling or unprepared to face it. Why do we ignore our feelings, only to realize later how obvious the signs were? Why do we choose not to see them?
The power of intuition, or gut instinct, is truly remarkable. It operates in mysterious ways and serves as a defence mechanism. It almost seems to have a mind of its own. It exists for a reason: to protect us. When we ignore it, unfortunate things often happen, sometimes with serious consequences. I know this from personal experience. I have paid a heavy price when I ignored my intuition and my wife’s.
People sometimes tell me they feel psychic. I tell them that, to some degree, we all are, thanks to our intuition. Most clients say they were instinctively drawn to me and felt I could be trusted.
I am deeply honoured, to say the least. Knowing that others have trusted their instincts and found something meaningful in our connection is humbling and inspiring. It reminds me that listening to our inner voice is not just helpful; it is essential. When we learn to trust it, we often find that it has been guiding us all along.
