When I was a child, I woke from a nightmare and had a panic attack. I dreamt that both my mother and father would be gone forever one day. I was literally shaking with fright, horrified at the thought of losing them. Even worse, I was petrified at the idea that either of them might end up in hell for anything wrong they might have done. The experience was unsettling and shook me to my core.
That morning, while having breakfast, I asked my grandmother if she believed in heaven or hell. She gave me a simple answer that I both appreciated and understood.
“Garo, I do not know beyond what I know, but I know that if you live a good life and do not harm others, you have found heaven, and if you harm others and disrespect God’s love, you will not find happiness.”
Her words helped me immensely through the terrible experience of the night before. My parents were not bad people; in fact, they were very loving and giving. I found assurance, which helped me in many ways. That nightmare scenario propelled me toward the truth of life after death, and I eventually came to understand that life is deathless.
Years later, my communicator from the other side shared:
“You are precious to the universe, even when you cannot see it yourself, even when the world tells you otherwise. Each soul has a place in the vast design of life. No one is accidental, no one is without meaning. As long as you do others no harm, you remain held in God’s enduring love.”
I am a reader and a healer, and I have been honoured to serve Him for over 40 years.
