I often saw it in their eyes: fear, shame, and the struggle to break free from whatever held them in shackles. I noticed that the patients who came to see me at the church shared a common thread, and I realised they were seeking help on a deep level. It was as if they needed ‘soul healing’ to help them find their way back to their true selves. It was obvious that the highly prized targets were those who are creative, positive or even those who shine in their societies. When the debilitating ‘curse’, as I liked to call it, took over, its mission was to extinguish their light, driven by the twisted desire to drive away their passion and positivity. If you take away one’s life force, you take away their purpose in life, and that is their method of operation.
I accidentally discovered an ability early on that could potentially help those in this predicament. It was never my plan or choice, and if I had been informed beforehand what was involved, I probably would have backed away, but the blessed ones on the other side know more about us than we know about ourselves; they throw us into the deep. I always believed in the power of prayer and still do; however, I never expected to be utilised in a way that would coax the negative energies to abandon their hosts and take over me. The bottom line is that it worked and freed all the lovely people who came to see me from the shackles and thorns, but it had a profound impact on me emotionally, mentally, and physically. During the energy transfer, I would lose my own reality as a new one would be superimposed on me. It was a real struggle to fight it because they used all sorts of distractions, sounds and images, mostly of the patient. It was as if they were showing off their treasure trove of shame, guilt, and memories from their hosts, or perhaps it was inadvertently revealed to me as part of the process. Some of the images were explicit, and I did whatever I could to distract myself from seeing them.
I cannot think of anything that compares to the challenges I endured during the process. There are times when I lost myself and struggled to speak. I could not even take a few basic steps; my energy would be drained, and I would literally feel enveloped by the energies, and sometimes, it was worse, because I would feel and hear their antagonising laughter. In my heart, I knew the blessed ones were by my side, but sometimes I felt I would never come back from the darkest abyss.
One of my team members, Marie, was always there to help me recover, gently placing her hands on my shoulders and head to help me heal. Her touch was magical; it always brought it all to an end and helped me settle back into myself. Recovery was slow, but washing my face with cold water and going outside of the church for fresh air in the garden helped. Eventually, I would silently pray, and when I was sufficiently recovered, I would go back into the church to attend to the next patient… round two.
Even though the process was painful and disturbing, I miss those days because at the end of the struggle, my team and I would witness the visible transformation in our patients. Their faces glowed, their eyes sparkled, and where there was deep sadness, we now saw a smile. These always followed many tears that I felt were of joy, as the encroaching energies abandoned them.
