Isn’t it remarkable how mothers, with their unique intuition, can sense when something is not right with their children? They seem to know when their children are sick, sad, or troubled. This special ability, often more pronounced in mothers than fathers, is a testament to their attentiveness and their ability to recognize when something is amiss.

When I was unwell or feeling down, my mother always seemed to know. She would call and tell me that she sensed something was wrong. Over time, I learned not to hide my feelings from her, even when she couldn’t see my face, because she could hear everything she needed to know in my voice. In many of my sessions, mothers shared similar experiences, feeling that something was amiss with their child, only to later discover that their intuition was right.

Are we more closely connected to our mothers because we were physically part of them as embryos? Or are females, especially mothers, generally more intuitive? Could it be that females are more emotionally open?

This is one of the mysteries that has always intrigued me. Perhaps there is no clear answer, and we should appreciate that we are fortunate to have someone in our lives who cares so deeply that they can feel our pain, even from a distance.
