At various points in our lives, we may experience a feeling, notice a sign, or even sense direct contact from the other side, urging us to make a change, one that could guide us back onto the right path and perhaps even save our lives. Some people seize the opportunity, while others may be blinded by ego or personal ambition. Some are burdened by guilt and feel unworthy, while others may distrust their own feelings or instincts for different reasons. It goes without saying that everyone is given a second chance, but free will determines whether we choose to accept it.
Sadly, there are cases in which people are simply in the wrong place at the wrong time and may never receive a second chance. Fortunately, such cases seem to be rare. I do not know why some people are spared while others suffer serious consequences. I often wonder who, or what, decides who receives another chance. What makes one person deserving of it while another is not? At times, it feels as though someone is watching over us from the other side, perhaps a guardian angel.
I have many questions about this subject, but I prefer to keep things simple and say that I am grateful to have been given a second chance despite my many poor decisions and moments of foolishness. It seems that patience on the other side has no limits, and for that, I am fortunate.
