I have been a member of this wonderful group for over four years, serving as a reader, life coach, and healer. During my time here, I have met many wonderful individuals whom I now consider friends, and in some instances, family. Although I had to maintain a certain level of professionalism, that closeness was inevitable, and I do not regret it at all, because I treasure the relationships I have formed.

I have learned so much from everyone. Every person I have met, on either side of life, has inspired me. In some cases, I have been in awe of their faith in the greater good, even through painful challenges, and of how they still manage to muster a smile despite every hardship and pain.

Everyone carries their own cross. Even when it is not visible, it is still there. My hope has always been to help ease that burden somehow, to help each person through yet another day.  It was never easy, not because I was intimidated by the gravity of the situations I encountered, but because I hurt when I saw others hurting, at any level. Yet I had to set my own emotions aside, because the journey was never about me. It was about you.

Years ago, when I began my journey in service, I was warned of how tough it would be, and perhaps, naively, I underestimated it to some degree. I chose this life rather than the security of my family’s established business, and it has been arduous, to say the least. But I do not regret my decision. I love what I do, and I am honoured to serve.

I could not, and would never, turn my back on others, knowing I have a natural ability to help alleviate their suffering by giving them hope and faith.  I am a practical person by nature, and because of that, I wanted to share irrefutable proof that life is deathless, and that our loved ones, as we once knew them, are unchanged and thriving on the other side. If I could help someone find even a small measure of comfort, hope, or peace through that understanding, then my service had meaning.  It was never easy.

In my darkest hour, my communicator from the other side once told me:

“If you cannot see the Light, then YOU be the Light.”

Those words made a profound difference in my life.

I hope and pray that I have achieved what I have always strived for: to touch as many hearts as possible through my service to the greater good and to God.

Thank you to all of you beautiful souls in this group, and beyond.

I want to add one final note, because it is important to explain why I have written this.

I did not write this post for self-promotion, nor am I fishing for compliments. I wrote it for my daughter, Taline, who is now ten years old.  I also pay tribute to my wife, Claudine, who stood with me through the turbulent years.

One day, when my daughter is older, I hope she will read these words and understand a little more about why I chose this path, what it has taught me, and why I have continued to serve others despite the challenges that come with it.  I want her to know that life is not simply about what we achieve for ourselves. It is also about what we give, the lives we touch, the hope we offer, and the light we leave behind.

Fight the good fight, my beautiful girl, and always be the Light.
