I am fascinated by the idea that women may be more intuitive, sensitive, and open to the paranormal, life after death, and the other side than men. Of course, I don’t want to generalise, but the numbers among my own clients seem striking: for every male booking, there are about 50 female bookings.

Is it perhaps the case that men feel embarrassed to be associated with the paranormal because some consider it nothing more than a bunch of hocus-pocus? I wonder because, over the years, I have never been mocked by a woman for what I do. Sadly, I cannot say the same about men. At times, they can be surprisingly dismissive or immature.

The men who book with me are usually very polite and willing to set aside their egos to learn more about their loved ones on the other side. Perhaps their openness comes from loss, necessity, or simply a desire for answers and reassurance.  Although men appear disproportionately represented among those open to the other side, there are, of course, many gifted male readers. The ability does not discriminate.

Perhaps men sometimes have a narrower view of what is possible, or perhaps pride and ego play a part. Whatever the reason, I wish things were different, because a world of wonder is out there waiting to be explored, and the rewards can be plentiful.

The more we seek to understand the other side, the richer and more meaningful our lives on this side may become.
