Setting aside our logical minds to perceive or experience what defies reason is a significant challenge. From childhood, we’re conditioned to view the world through a logical lens, growing into a perspective that can often feel narrow. We’re now beginning to recognize how this limited outlook restricts our growth—not only in relation to the paranormal but to life itself.

When clients ask how they might recognize signs or messages from loved ones on the other side, I encourage them to set aside their logical mindset. Releasing the need for certainty and simply cherishing the experience is key. I know it isn’t easy—our nature craves assurance, and it’s challenging to accept things at face value. Yet, if we look to the past, particularly to Biblical times, we find that visitations, messages in dreams, and signs were common ways of receiving guidance, often shaping human history in profound ways.

While modern advancements in medicine, artificial intelligence, and communication have transformed our lives, they’ve also fueled a mindset that science and technology hold all the answers. An increasingly extreme perspective suggests that anything outside these realms lacks validity, limiting our understanding of life’s subtleties and mysteries.

We have much growth ahead, with many lessons to learn. Life, after all, is full of shades beyond black and white.
