We are all drifting in the vast ocean of life. The fortunate ones may have a sense of direction, but for many of us, the journey feels like a struggle in the dark as we try to discover ourselves and evolve, searching for our paths. I believe that at some point in life each of us experiences a moment of enlightenment, a glimpse of purpose. Yet most people choose to ignore it. We are all here for a reason, and when you recognise that truth, you face a choice. That decision is yours alone to make.
For many, what lies ahead may not be what they imagined, nor may it align with their dreams. In such cases, people often choose to turn away in pursuit of ego or ambition. It may seem that we have endless choices, but in reality, those who embrace their true path and follow it toward self-fulfilment are ultimately rewarded. Those who resist and stray away often find themselves struggling.
In my own life, I discovered from a very young age that I had the gift of healing and reading. However, because of my cultural background, I dismissed these abilities as “petty” and chose instead to follow in my father’s footsteps. He was a successful, self-made businessman, and in my cultural background, the roles of reader and healer were often looked down upon. Although I witnessed extraordinary events, I turned my back on my calling and convinced myself that my decision was final. As a result, my life spun out of control, and I lost my sense of purpose and direction.
After many years and a long journey, I returned to where I had begun and embraced my role as a reader and healer. While striving to satisfy my ego through accomplishments that were never meant for me, I eventually discovered my greatest happiness in going beyond myself and serving others.
It is never too late to answer your true calling. It may not resemble what you once aspired to, but it is the most authentic expression of who you are.
Find your peace.
