Isn’t it fascinating how some people can instantly click with us, while others seem to be from the opposite end of the spectrum? The magic of these inexplicable connections is genuinely awe-inspiring. You might meet someone for the first time and feel like you’ve known them for ages. These moments, when a bond forms out of thin air, are nothing short of miraculous. They can lead to profound commitments that are beyond words, only to be felt, and the feeling is simply incredible.

At the same time, some people have the opposite effect on us. Despite our best efforts, we are unable to connect with them on any level. We may even feel compelled to avoid them because their presence stirs unwanted emotions.

I always recommend that we trust our feelings in either situation and respond accordingly.

In 1985, I met a very special person. When I saw her walk out of her college dorm room, I froze and stared. I could not speak because I was mesmerised. I sensed familiarity and felt inexplicably drawn to her. We became close friends and quickly connected on a deep level. Even though our interests differed, we shared fundamental traits of character and personality. Our friendship blossomed, and years later, Claudine became my wife. I had listened to my heart and found my soulmate.

As I journeyed through life, I also learned to honour my feelings when it came to people whose energy did not resonate with mine. These experiences, though challenging, taught me valuable lessons. People can impact us in many ways, both positively and negatively. It’s our responsibility to remain vigilant and attentive to those feelings, to learn and grow from them. One of the most remarkable aspects of the supernatural, in my view, is that it resides within us. Most of us are aware of it, yet few are willing to listen, even when it speaks through their own inner voice.
