Choosing a good reader can be challenging. There are many criteria involved. First, we need to appreciate the importance of qualities like trustworthiness and integrity, as they are essential in selecting someone who genuinely serves others. If I were looking for a reader, I would consider their credibility and reputation first and foremost, along with their personality and character. An enlightened reader should understand that the ability does not make them special in any way, and that they are in service to others and to God. This is where it begins and ends. It is easy for a reader to fall into the trap of vanity; it could happen to any of us because we are human. However, it is inexcusable for any reader to lack humility. If they are genuine, they understand our place in the grand scheme and know that our service alone carries significance.

The ability is a unique form of healing, and its sole purpose is to help bring closure and restore faith and hope. Time and again, I have seen readers violate the fundamental principles of their ability by focusing on themselves, only to come crashing down. God and Spirit do not tolerate arrogance or vanity. When a reader becomes overly focused on themselves and their egos, the blessed ones on the other side distance themselves from that reader. Cultivating humility and spiritual integrity is essential to maintaining the practice’s trustworthiness and effectiveness.

The blessed ones are very selective about whom they work through when offering service. Our hearts must be in the right place so that we can be compassionate, empathetic, and loving toward others. If I were to die tomorrow, I would go as a happy man because I feel fulfilled in my heart, knowing that I did my best. Yet, knowing myself, I would probably still be debating, even as I moved through the tunnel of white light, whether I could have done more.

I am blessed.
