Why do so many people report receiving signs from the other side in the form of butterflies, birds, or feathers? While some individuals experience various signs, these winged or airborne symbols seem especially common. Is there a meaningful pattern here, or simply a coincidence?

I have been reflecting on this and wondering why such signs might be so prevalent. This is simply curiosity on my part. Like most people, I am grateful to receive any sign, regardless of its form, since it is the meaning behind it that truly matters. Perhaps birds and butterflies are chosen because they evoke a sense of peace and beauty, or because they are more easily noticed and interpreted. It may also be that their movement through the air gives them a symbolic connection to transition or freedom, qualities often associated with the idea of an afterlife.

At the same time, experiences vary widely. Some people report frequent signs, while others report none. This raises further questions. Are some individuals overlooking subtle forms of communication? Or might interpretation play a role in shaping what we recognise as a sign? It is also possible that what we perceive as signs is influenced by personal beliefs, expectations, or emotional needs rather than any external intention.

In my own experience, I have received only two signs, both in the form of dream visitations, despite having many loved ones who have passed on. I have come to accept this with gratitude, since not everyone feels they receive even that. Still, I sometimes wish others could experience this kind of reassurance, rather than me, especially since I’m already accustomed to exploring such matters.

I wonder…
