The “me” syndrome affects many people who possess abilities considered beyond the norm. It can be difficult to maintain the perspective that one is not inherently special and that the true value of such abilities lies only in how they are used in service to others. I have seen many readers and healers falter for this very reason, including some who were once exceptionally talented but, unfortunately, gave way to pride and ego. Spirit is highly sensitive to this imbalance and will often withdraw from those who place themselves before others.

These abilities serve as a means for readers and healers to help relieve suffering and restore a sense of joy, hope, and healing. They are not intended to elevate the individual in any way. On the contrary, a genuine reader or healer tends toward humility, recognising the depth and seriousness of the force behind the ability, and understanding that they are merely instruments of its expression. No one should place themselves above others, especially those entrusted with the responsibility of bringing light, love, and peace from God into the hearts of others.

Such abilities are precious and should be treated with respect, care, and gratitude at all times. I do not consider them a gift, but rather a loan. As such, I feel a responsibility to preserve my ability with integrity, knowing that one day I will have to graciously return it in person, back home, to the other side.
