The internet has given rise to a new culture, one seemingly less concerned with spiritual matters and more captivated by selfies, endless video scrolling, and the curated lives of a few who embody superficiality. Among younger generations, a deeper understanding of the paranormal has become rare. They appear more drawn to the thrill of spectacle than to the pursuit of knowledge or spiritual growth.

Like many, I once believed that each generation would expand the frontiers of understanding, uncovering new truths along the way. It is disheartening to observe what feels like regression: a fading of the spiritual knowledge that so many before us devoted their lives to discovering.

Yet, perhaps all is not lost.

We are fortunate that the internet has also enabled the formation of communities like this one. Individuals from diverse backgrounds and far-flung places can come together to share experiences, reflect, and learn from each other. Maybe the dynamics have shifted, and what we now see is a clearer divide between those seeking depth and those content with surface-level living.

Who can say what changes the future will bring? Perhaps, in time, the appeal of the superficial will wane, and people will once again seek out knowledge and rediscover their spiritual path.

Earlier today, I imagined a comically absurd scene: someone pausing at the threshold of the tunnel of light, phone in hand, taking a selfie before embarking on their journey to the other side.
