How do you think you would react to an otherworldly encounter? Would you be frightened or composed? Would you even welcome the experience?
Interestingly, most paranormal occurrences happen without warning and often take us entirely by surprise. Many accounts describe people who were busy at the time, focused on something when they suddenly caught a glimpse of movement out of the corner of their eye. When they turned to look, they saw the source: something otherworldly.
Surprisingly, most individuals do not respond with immediate fear. Instead, they are often mesmerized, especially if the manifestation is that of a dearly missed loved one. The encounter is usually brief and lacks dialogue or physical contact. However, there are instances where the experience is extended, sometimes involving communication or even light physical interaction.
The experience can be unpleasant on rare occasions, though this happens usually for a specific reason. Generally, such encounters are positive, even if slightly unsettling, due to the element of surprise. What has helped me over the years is reminding myself that life, as we know it, often defies logic. I have learned to accept everything that defies the norm as a normal part of life.
The “paranormal” and everything it encompasses feels perfectly normal to me.
