The majority of paranormal experiences are not shared publicly. One of the most significant deterrents is that people are afraid of being ridiculed or labelled. Some of the negativity can be overwhelming, especially online, where, sadly, people can turn into monsters and become extremely hurtful and rude. There is also concern that sharing such experiences might negatively impact business or employment prospects. People could post or share anonymously, but this means that the experience carries less weight, as it is being shared from an anonymous source.

Many experiences go unshared, and it is a shame because there is so much to learn. Fortunately, nowadays, the number of believers is on the rise, and so are the safe platforms, such as specialist online and offline groups, where people can express themselves more freely under the patronage of sensible, open individuals. The internet has helped bring to light that paranormal events and experiences are widespread, and people are finding solace in the fact that they are not alone. More credible sources are now stepping forward and sharing their personal experiences.

These changes are coming faster than ever, and there is now a clear shift in favour of believers. There will always be those who persist in their mockery, but their voices are becoming less significant by the day, just as they are.
