Everyone perceives what lies beyond this life differently. Even those who have had near-death experiences report very personal and unique encounters. In most cases, what is seen on the other side reflects the individual’s cultural background and beliefs. However, nearly all accounts describe a blissful state of being and a strong desire not to return to Earth, because, as they say, it is so ‘amazing.’
Regardless of cultural or religious background, it seems common for people to be met by a wiser or elder individual upon reaching the other side. This individual may share thoughts, feelings, or insights about life before guiding them back to our world. Many also see loved ones who have passed and feel comforted at the reunion.
Everyone who returns from that life brings back a small, life-changing ‘souvenir.’ Their lives on Earth are never quite the same. Many struggle to fit back in, feeling more connected to the other side, which seems phenomenally better than life here on Earth. Some are able to articulate their experience and share it with others; some write about it, while others remain silent, struggling to express the wondrous beauty they encountered.
Reflecting on these accounts, I once asked my communicator if I might be permitted to see the other side, even if it were a glimpse, and he refused.
“Should you see it, you will not want to come back.”
He was right. From hearing about it through all the loved ones who have come through my sessions, as well as from NDE accounts, I am relieved to learn that there is indeed a heaven out there.
