Discerning between different realities and authentic communication from Spirit is a nuanced and challenging endeavor. How can one be certain that the messages received during psychic readings are not mere products of the imagination?
I always ensure that clients provide no information about themselves beforehand. Approaching each session without prior knowledge allows me to begin with a blank slate. Working in this state of ‘darkness’ quiets my mind, leaving little room for imagination. When free from mental ‘noise,’ my senses become heightened, providing a clear indication that the communication is authentic and not a figment of my imagination.
My trust in the communicators from the other side is steadfast. I am confident in their ability to provide the evidence and information necessary to share with clients, which should reassure you of the process’s authenticity.
However, there are occasions beyond my control when I may not be as attuned as I would like. I may sometimes receive incorrect information or none at all. In such instances, I inform the client and offer to reschedule the session. Mediumship must be honored and respected; if a medium cannot receive accurately, the session must be stopped immediately. The primary goal of these sessions is to help clients achieve clarity, comfort, and closure—not to showcase the medium’s abilities. Ego is a hindrance, and I remind myself daily through prayer and before each reading that I am merely an instrument.
Being visually disabled has worked to my advantage. From childhood, I have relied less on visual perception and more on my mind’s eye, resulting in heightened senses. Becoming an effective medium requires years of experience, discipline, and sacrifice.
