When I initiate the process, I prefer to remain entirely undisturbed unless I am accompanied by a trusted associate. Any interruption risks compromising the required level of concentration. Such disruptions have occurred in the past. On one occasion, while working in a house where numerous unsettling disturbances had been reported, I prepared myself in an upstairs bedroom. Upon emerging to begin the process, I encountered the homeowner, who had come upstairs to inquire quite innocently whether I would like a cup of tea. Although well-intentioned, the interruption was ill-timed and illustrative of the necessity for controlled conditions.

Engaging at a psychic level during this process poses distinct challenges. To open oneself psychically is to assume a position of vulnerability, yet such openness is indispensable for attuning to the environment and discerning the underlying cause of the disturbance. This requires careful, deliberate equilibrium. I place considerable trust in what I understand to be my spiritual helpers, and my faith in God remains resolute. Indeed, a degree of openness is not only necessary but purposeful, as it may draw the source of the disturbance into clearer focus, thereby enabling resolution.

In most cases, the phenomena appear to involve the spirits of deceased individuals with unresolved concerns. This, in itself, offers a certain reassurance, as such cases often admit of explanation and resolution. However, there are occasions when non-human entities seem implicated, and these instances tend to be more complex and difficult. Regardless of the nature of the presence, I am bound to see the process through. Once on site, withdrawal is not an option. The work demands both psychological resilience and composure, particularly in the face of the unexpected, which may confer an apparent advantage upon the opposing force. Nevertheless, I maintain that disciplined focus, coupled with an unwavering reliance on divine support, constitutes a greater advantage.

The clearance process also necessitates an investigative approach. In this respect, I adopt a quasi-detective role, seeking to identify the origin and nature of the disturbance. In many instances, I can arrive at an explanation or an underlying rationale. Such understanding is instrumental in facilitating resolution. However, there are occasions when the information perceived from the other side must be treated with caution or even disregarded, particularly if its origin appears dubious. In these circumstances, intuitive judgment becomes essential. It must also be acknowledged that the source of the disturbance may not reside solely beyond the immediate physical realm. In some cases, individuals within the household may have knowingly or otherwise engaged in actions that have introduced or invited disruptive energies into the environment.

Upon completing the process, I make a point of spending time with the occupants to reassure them and restore a sense of calm. It is important that they feel confident that the disturbance has been addressed. Although the environment may still require time to fully stabilise, I depart with the conviction that the house’s condition has been materially improved.

The clearance process involves me putting on a detective hat to investigate the cause of the issue.  In most cases, I receive an explanation or a reason behind it all.  It helps greatly to identify the issue so the problem can be resolved.  Unfortunately, there are times when I have to completely ignore everything I am being told by someone or something on the other side because it may be of questionable origin.   Here is the importance of trusting one’s gut instincts equally: the culprit could be on this side, one of the people in the household who may have done something they shouldn’t have and invited hostile energy into their home.

When the process is over, I spend time with the house’s occupants to reassure them and put them at ease, letting them know that whatever was there is now gone.   It takes time for the dust to settle, but I know that when I walk out the door, that house is a better place than when I walked in.
