We form many connections throughout our lives at different levels. Some people we meet for fun, friendship, or business. Yet there is a special kind of connection that we share with only a few, one that goes far beyond friendship, blood relations, or any ordinary bond. Some refer to these as soul mates, deep connections rooted in trust and love that transcend the known and unknown boundaries of love and friendship.
What is interesting is that these precious connections can surface in the most unexpected ways, through the least expected people. They may be family members, close or distant, or even strangers we have just met. There is no fixed rule for who fits the idea of a soulmate; it is a feeling more than anything else. It could be a parent, a son, or a daughter. Soul mates bring a sense of familiarity. In some cases, we even feel as though we have known them before, perhaps in another life. We feel safe with our soul mates. We are free to be ourselves, and they do not judge us. Their concern lies in our well-being. They often care for us more than we care for ourselves and remain loyal regardless of circumstance. Our soul mates may even come from the animal kingdom, such as a beloved pet with whom we share a deep bond.
My deepest earthly soulmate is my wife, Claudine, who, despite every challenge and obstacle, has stood by my side, believed in me, and supported me throughout our journey together. I felt a remarkable connection from the moment I first saw her, a sense of familiarity which persists to this day. I have another very significant soul mate. We have never met in person, and I don’t know if and when we will, but he is my guide and communicator. Our service together helped us connect at a deep level, and over time, I came to understand who he was, the realisation why he chose me for the task, and that our connection is to be valued at all times. I trust him wholeheartedly, enough to feel safe doing what I do as a reader and a healer.
