Isn’t it interesting that children and those nearing the end of life often seem to be the most perceptive of what many call the other side?
Children sometimes report seeing, hearing, and interacting with visitors from the other side. They may even have invisible friends or describe encounters with deceased family members. Older people, particularly those approaching the end of life, also frequently report seeing loved ones who speak with them and gently invite them to join them on the other side. I find it fascinating that the veil separating these two worlds appears to be at its thinnest when we are either very young or nearing the end of life. Perhaps children, with their simpler and less conditioned minds, are not yet overwhelmed by the noise of the so-called logical world. That innocence may allow them to perceive what many adults no longer can. I often wonder whether the highly rational world we have created, particularly in its present form, has in some ways distanced humanity from a deeper awareness of reality.
Of course, there will always be cases in which chemical imbalances or medical conditions trigger experiences that are not grounded in external reality. However, when we consider end-of-life experiences through the collective observations of medical professionals, striking patterns emerge. Across cultures and over many years, people nearing death often describe encounters with deceased loved ones who appear to comfort them and help prepare them for what comes next. For those who have witnessed these events repeatedly, these similarities are difficult to dismiss. Even many people from scientific or traditionally logical backgrounds now acknowledge that these recurring experiences deserve thoughtful consideration. Perhaps we are gradually moving towards a broader understanding of consciousness and a deeper appreciation of long-overlooked truths.
I believe that death is not the end of life, but the beginning of a greater one. In time, we all return to it, reunited with our loved ones, embraced by our spiritual family, and becoming part of the eternal Light. Even if you do not believe, please consider keeping an open mind.
Together, we are Light.
