I understand that some people may disagree with me, but I feel deeply compelled to write this article. The subject is Ouija boards and the dangers associated with using them.
I often see people asking the same questions. Are Ouija boards safe? Are they really as dangerous as some claim?
My answer is simple. Imagine a stranger standing at your front door. You are alone, and your two young daughters are inside the house. It is midnight, and the street outside is dark. The stranger knocks and asks to be let in. Would you open the door? Would you ask him whether he is a good or bad man and, if he assures you that he is good, invite him inside without hesitation?
This is the fundamental problem I have with Ouija boards. We have no idea who, or what, we are connecting with, yet we rely entirely on the information communicated through the board. In most cases, that information is unreliable or false. Those present are rarely protected against intrusive energies and are placed at a disadvantage because they are psychically open and vulnerable. The Ouija board functions as a key to a gateway between worlds, and all it takes to open that door is the question, “Is there anyone here?” Someone, anyone, will answer.
I once watched a documentary that recreated a case involving teenagers experimenting with an Ouija board. When the planchette began to move, they asked, “Are you a good spirit?” They believed that whatever entity they were communicating with would not, or could not, lie. They assumed that a negative presence would not claim to be good. I watched in disbelief as I realized how naïve this assumption was.
Before beginning my own sessions, I follow a strict and disciplined procedure. I begin with a prayer, asking for permission to serve. I then recite the Lord’s Prayer, proceed through a protection process, and only open myself when I feel the familiar, positive vibrations of my helpers on the other side. This is a practice I have followed for more than forty years, and I consider it essential for the safety and integrity of everyone involved, including myself. I never engage in any form of connection without first ensuring the proper conditions. The unseen world is very real, and it contains both good and bad elements, just as our world does. Through my work at the church, I have encountered many people suffering the consequences of experimenting with Ouija boards or other practices they did not understand. In some cases, the price they paid was severe, even life-threatening.
The other side is not meant for amusement, entertainment, curiosity, or adventure. The dangers are real, often hidden, and the cost can be very high. If you feel a genuine need to connect with a loved one who has passed on, please consider seeking the help of a qualified and experienced reader, whether myself or another professional. Above all, take care of yourself and do not underestimate the risks involved; the dark energies can be absolutely ruthless.
