Sometimes we may feel trapped or stuck, unable to move forward. It can be frustrating and feel unfair, especially when, despite all our efforts and prayers, nothing seems to change around us. This, in turn, can deepen our feelings of disappointment and negativity.
I have learned that sometimes we are “held” in place so that we can focus on our lives, examine our choices, and explore the possibilities before us. Our helpers on the other side may wish to guide and support us, but we must also help ourselves by taking the time to reflect and find our own way forward. This is a time for soul-searching, for considering our options, for reflecting on what brought us to this point, for understanding what we can learn from our experiences, and for recognising the path ahead. You may be alive, but not truly living, and life is meant to be embraced. It is an opportunity for us all to grow, evolve, and discover the many gifts that God has given us.
If you find yourself feeling “trapped”, please do not despair. See it as a period of spiritual growth. Rather than resisting the experience, try to embrace it, ask for guidance, and pray for clarity. You will not be abandoned. The answers often lie within you; you simply need the clarity to recognise them. Do not isolate yourself. Reach out to friends, family, or a professional who can support you through the process.
There is always something positive to be found in every challenge, and when you discover it, you may also find the key that sets you free.
