For me, the most satisfying part of my service is seeing my clients find closure. When unanswered questions are resolved, lingering doubts are laid to rest, and evidence establishes the truth beyond a reasonable doubt, they can finally find much-needed peace. I never realised how invaluable my ability could be to others. Oh, how I wish I had been wise enough to appreciate it years ago, during my foolish youth. If there is one thing I am truly grateful for, it is the opportunity to make up for lost time. As I grew older and began to see how much of a difference my connections could make in people’s lives, I was humbled by the profound responsibility that came with bringing comfort to others.

My communicator on the other side helped and guided me. He reminded me to appreciate the opportunity I had been given to serve others, because that, ultimately, is what life is about. Indeed, nothing brings me greater satisfaction than knowing that I have made a positive difference in someone’s life, however small that difference may be.

However, to help others cope with their pain and anger, I first had to prepare myself on a personal level. This proved to be the hardest part, as I had to revisit the unresolved issues of my own past and learn to deal with them appropriately. I had made so many mistakes, and many of my foolish actions seemed unforgivable. Yet I came to understand that my greatest personal enemy was shame.

I owe a profound debt of gratitude to my dear friend Paula, who stood by me throughout this process for more than ten years and helped me rediscover who I truly was. She once told me that I could do nothing to change the past, but I could certainly do a great deal of good in the future. And so, here I am, still striving to stay true to myself after traversing the darkest and muddiest waters.

I had never heard the beautiful hymn Amazing Grace until I happened upon it one day. As I listened to the lyrics, I broke down in tears. I felt as though the angels themselves were telling me that everything was going to be all right.

My ability is merely a means to a far greater purpose in my life. I have been given a second chance, and I believe it is my mission to help others rediscover their self-worth and find hope, love, and faith.

I thank God every day. I have found peace, and I pray that you, too, dear reader, will find yours.
