Have you ever instinctively reached for your phone to call someone, only to remember that they are no longer with you? It happens to me often, and I wonder if this impulse will ever fade. But then I ask myself: do I really want it to go away?

I firmly believe in life after death, and even though I have worked as a psychic medium for over 30 years, I still feel the immense void left by my loved ones. I always encourage my clients to continue talking to their loved ones on the other side, expressing themselves just as they would if those people were still physically here. It can be challenging to silence the ‘logical’ mind, which sometimes insists that the dead are gone forever. But I’ve learned to ignore that noise—it only obscures the truth.

Maybe I shouldn’t fear the feelings that arise when I instinctively reach for the phone to call my mum. Yes, it hurts momentarily to realize she’s no longer here physically, but I also choose to focus on the positive: love never dies.
