What do you miss the most about loved ones who have passed away? Is it their memory, companionship, shared meals, sense of humor, or something else?
Since my mother’s passing, I can reflect on many things I miss dearly, but above all, I miss our morning coffee and breakfast together. I long for her warm hugs, beautiful smile, and the magical sound of her singing in the kitchen. I also cherish the memory of my grandmother’s infectious laugh and her unique sense of humor, especially our unexpected shared interest in boxing—yes, you read that correctly!
It’s intriguing how specific memories become so vivid once our loved ones are no longer with us. I always emphasize to my clients the importance of appreciating those around them while they are still here and of setting aside differences and imperfections.
Sometimes, I find myself wondering what those who have passed miss about those they left behind.
