Someone recently asked me what my day-to-day life is like when I am not in service. For instance, do I still pick things up when I’m out and about while shopping? The simple answer is no.
When not in service, I remain “sealed” and detached from the other side, avoiding possible contact. I never tune in unless I am in an appropriate setting. It is essential that we do not remain attuned and pick up random signals while out in public. When I prepare for a session, I follow a strict process without exception. I begin with a prayer, asking for permission to be in service. I then seek protection for both myself and my client(s). After this, I recite the Lord’s Prayer. If everything feels right, I proceed with the process of opening up, beginning with grounding and using visualization techniques.
Interestingly, during this preparation stage, I often see, hear, and feel things related to my clients, even before meeting them or knowing anything about them. I cherish this part of the process, as it allows me to have brief, lighthearted “mini chats” with the client’s loved ones, who sometimes share interesting details for me to relay later.
One memorable experience involved a client who was running late, exceeding the time limit I had set for our session. I was about to cancel when her mother, who had already made her presence known, gently asked me not to. She smiled and told me her daughter was always late. When my client finally arrived, I shared what her mother had said. She burst into tears, telling me that her mother used to complain about her chronic lateness all the time.
There is a deep purpose behind my work. My mission is to bring closure and healing, and nothing brings me greater joy than seeing tears of relief and happiness instead of sorrow.
